Inhabiting a similar Southern neighborhood as Steel Magnolias, Fried Green Tomatoes and Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, this new female-driven comedy centers around four women "of a certain age" who happen to meet at a Savannah-area happy hour. Though they each face their own career and relationship challenges, the quartet -- workaholic Randa, newly single Dot, revenge-filled divorcee Marlafaye and "life coach" Jinx -- become BFFs, meeting up once a week to drown their sorrows and/or toast their successes. And over the course of six months, they manage to start anew, with a little help from their new friends. The latest comedy from the prolific writing team of Jones-Hope-Wooten (The Dixie Swim Club, Always a Bridesmaid) comes to OnStage Atlanta in Decatur.
